FFFC:  Please introduce yourself to our readers (i.e. your name, occupation, hobbies, etc.).

G:  My name is Gisselle most known as Baybeeh, I’m a mother of a 12-year-old young girl which is my life.  Currently working in the high-end jewelry business, and LOVE to have a busy life ;).

FFFC:  What sparked your weight-loss transformation journey?

G:  I actually have been struggle my whole life with my weight, so as a young age I think being a victim of bullying was a huge impact in my life  caused me to develop eating disorders, by the end of 15 I was eating only lettuce  soda crackers and lots of water to feel full, & one year later I started to throwing up to lose weight.  When I had my daughter at the age of 17 went to my highest weight of 201 lbs.  The day I gave birth to my daughter I remember how happy I was to see her, but at the same time all I was thinking was my weight, so I decide stop eating I starved my self for 3 weeks after I had my daughter, to the point that i went from 201 lbs pregnant to 140 in less than a month & I had to have surgery because since I was eating only lettuce and water and throwing up, all the acid in my stomach burned my gallbladder and it exploded which led to all of the poison and the stones to fall on my pancreas which was twice the normal size, no need to say how scary that was, I was terrified to die. When I woke up from surgery I decided to start a healthy plan to make sure I will live enough to see my daughter growing (please excuse my english isn’t the best )

FFFC:  What was your beginning and current weight or measurements?

G:  I started at  175 lbs, I’m 5’2 and went to 135 lbs eating clean and working out twice a day.  I stopped doing it for over a year and went back to 169 lbs and my current weight is 157lbs.

FFFC:  How long did it take for your weight-loss transformation from beginning to end?

G:  I would say there’s no beginning or end on my journey, I decide to adopt a lifestyle, not call it a diet UuGhh that sounds mean :-).  I have been learning how to take one day at a time.  Yes I set goals and that motivates me, but the most important thing is that my body feels so much better, from walking and not getting all dizzy to the fact that with only 10 pounds down I was able to go down 3 sizes!  The number in the scale isn’t always important. People Tell me every time that I keep on loosing weight, but I don’t really see it.  I do know that my clothes fits way better.

FFFC:  What physical activities did you participate in during your journey?

G:  Lots of cardio, I love jumping rope, but my favorite is dancing salsa.  I can burn 1250 calories in 1.5 hours dancing salsa, I play with my daughter just dance and dance like I’m in a concert and girl let me tell you that game really works LOL, I have fun with my child while I workout!! Whats better than that 😉

FFFC:  How did your eating habits change?

G:  My eating habits change a lot, first I hate the kitchen so it was so easy for me to call and order pizza , drive & get hamburgers and fries everywhere, microwave food.  Now I eat totally different I just got use to eating and keep trying new stuff and learning about healthy foods in the process.  Also I think I’m getting along with the kitchen a bit more.

FFFC:  What do you typically eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner?

G:  I’m currently counting calories. As soon I wake up I drink a 16oz bottled water  & do 30 minutes cardio in pajamas LOL!!   Then for breakfast, if I have time in the house, I’ll take egg whites, turkey bacon, and some fruit, or a protein shake if I’m late and on the go.  I’ll snack 2 hours later with a 150 calorie snack.  For lunch I do 400 calories either a salad, breast of chicken, avocado and broccoli.  Two hours later again a 150 calorie snack.  After work I go straight to the gym 3 times a week and spend around 2 hours there.  When I finish I get a protein shake which have 195 caloriess.  I then go home and deal with my daughter’s homeworks and spend quality time with her.  My second job is from my house so I spend 2 hours in the computer for that, send my daughter to sleep, do 30 more minutes cardio in my house, take a shower and sit again on my computer to take my online classes for an hour or two daily on weekdays (weekends I have more time).  I finish my classes around 11 pm so I have to jump in bed because I wake up at 6 am for the same crazy routine.  Please note that I don’t stop drinking water the whole day.  H2o is very important in this journey.

FFFC:  What is your favorite fitness activity?

G:  My favorite fitness activity is definitely lifting.  I like to challenge myself to try to do heavier everytime.

FFFC:  What do you do now to maintain your physique?

G:  Try to keep eating as clean as I can, and keep motivating myself to continue this lifestyle

FFFC:  How did you develop and sustain the willpower to avoid the bad stuff (i.e. junk food, bad drinks, lack of activity, etc.)?

G:  I think that if a person does the same thing over and over for over 28 days they get use to it as a routine.  Yeah sometimes I crave a Big Macv but hey food isn’t going to take away my stress or pain so instead of a Big Mac I just get an apple and a bottle of water.  I’m still going to feel full either way plus a bonus the apple doesn’t stay on my hips !! 😉

FFFC:  What advice do you have for someone starting out on their weight-loss journey but unsure of how to begin?

G:  You don’t have to be a fitness trainer or a profesional nutritionist.  You just start not doing what you know is wrong for your body.  Stop thinking and scheduling a start day NOOO!!! Start now, think positive, get fitness pals like on Facebook, your neighbors, keep positive people around you, think healthy, stop bringing junk food home, & more important don’t see this journey like the biggest nightmare ever.  This will be your new lifestyle.  It’s like moving to a new house ~ cleaner environment, and quiet neighborhood.  Your body is your temple keep it clean ;).

FFFC:  What do you think is the biggest misconception about this journey?

G:  That food is bad, that there’s no time, or that they need to go to the gym but can’t afford it.  I think people make so many excuses just because they get scared of not seeing results or they see it as difficult.  That will stop you from doing it.  You gotta have determination and stay focused, even if you don’t see results go stronger and don’t quit.

FFFC:  How can readers learn more about your transformation and journey online (i.e. Facebook, Tumblr, Twitter, etc.)?

G:  I love Facebook, I love how everybody give support to everybody.  I have so much fun when I have time to get on my page because I can read all the different stories and
that motivates me to continue.  You can “LIKE” my Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/baybeeh.fitness.
