Here are 5 health benefits of getting and being fit that you may not have thought of before. #sexdrive #weightlossforwomen #health #healthy #fitness #getfit #workout #exercise #healthcare #selfcare #wellness #improvedsexdrive

Getting fit rocks! You may be reading this, sitting in a comfy chair and wondering why you should bother. Maybe your doctor says that you are healthy so why should you get out there and sweat instead of watch television or read a good book?

Here are a few reasons why getting fit will energize your life in ways that you may not have thought of before. Whether you can do it on your own or you need the help of experts in gyms or rehab centers, fitness is the foundation for an active and happy life.

Being Fit Helps With Self-Confidence

This isn’t just about looking good/feeling good. Will your clothes fit better? Yes. Will looking thinner and more fit make you feel more attractive? Yes.

But self-confidence isn’t just about your body image. It’s about knowing that you can set a goal and achieve it. It’s the thrill of setting new goals because you have surpassed the old ones.

Knowing that you can do anything that you set your mind to will have a far-reaching impact on your life and psyche.

Getting fit can often mean being around other people with the same goals as you. If you find that most of your free time is spent alone in front of the television or sleeping, it’s time to get out there!

People who are into fitness love to share their knowledge and experiences with new people.

Joining a gym, a team sport or finding a fitness group online through organizations like www.meetup.com can put you right in the center of a new group of friends who will encourage you and help you to reach your goals.

Then you can turn around and help somebody new when they need it. It’s a great way to pay it forward.

Mental Clarity

If you’ve ever experienced what some people call “brain fog” then you understand how frustrating it can be to overcome. You can’t remember the name of that great restaurant you go to every weekend or you can’t concentrate enough to learn new material for that work presentation.

Doctors know that when you exercise you increase serotonin levels in your brain which leads to better mental clarity. Better mental clarity leads to good things like better job performance.

Better job performance leads to your co-workers and your boss appreciating all that you do and who knows where that can lead you!

Do you have trouble sleeping? Experts on sleep say that exercise can help you to fall asleep and to stay asleep. Sedentary people have been shown to have more incidences of insomnia than those who maintain an exercise routine.

Moderate exercise during the week, though not too close to bedtime, helps you to fall asleep by regulating your body temperature.

It also enables you to stay longer in deeper stages of sleep which helps you to feel more awake and energized during the day.

Who doesn’t want a better sex life? Exercise releases endorphins in the brain. Endorphins, in turn, release sex hormones making us feel more in the mood.

Fitness, too, gets you in shape to help avoid the things that can interrupt passion like body cramps.

Nothing stops a good time like a charley horse. Exercise also firms up those flabby parts of us that we find so embarrassing.

After all, you want to be concentrating on what you’re doing, not how you look while doing it!

So along with the physical benefits, you now know of at least five other reasons to get fit, stay fit-and why getting fit rocks!

Love this! It’s so true. I don’t even think I technically run for fitness anymore – I run to get faster, reach my goals, and travel to new places!

In my own opinion I think the majority of people think going to the gym and getting fit is about weight loss or gaining muscle or its just good for your health. But it’s not and you have stated that here. It’s true what you said if your doctor says that your in great health then you will think “Ahhh well I don’t need to work out then, I’ll just continue with what I do on a daily basis” But I disagree with this just because your doctor says your in good health doesn’t mean you don’t have to do any form of physical activity and physical activity doesn’t mean exercise you can go play football, basketball, volleyball etc the list is endless and I this is where the second point comes into consideration, your getting out of the house and socializing with friends instead of just meeting up in a bar. I think those who do struggle with sleeping should try some form of physical activity just to see how their body reacts. I have done it myself so I know it is a true fact. After a great workout or a run around the football pitch you will feel many benefits non physical and physical.
