After reading that let me first share the parts of the abs these workouts will be working.
Muscles In The Abs And Core
First and foremost abs consist of 4 main muscles. They consist of the rectus abdominis, internal oblique, external oblique and transverse abdominis (your body’s natural girdle).
These workouts will hit all of these muscles for a complete workout.
Why Are Abs And Core Important?
Your core supports your entire body simply put. It helps support your back, especially the lower back and posture. If you experience lower back pain, check to ensure your abs are engaged and strong.
Strong core muscles helps with mobility, balance, stability and moving your body since most everything you do requires strong abs. Activities like running and walking require strong abs.
Below are a few core workouts I found or put together to help strengthen your abs to improve your ability to participate in normal daily physical activity and to slim down your waist (as long as you clean up what you eat).
