POWer Punch Beet Juice Recipe

The benefits of beets let me count the ways!  The beet root (the bulb) is chock full of vitamin B folate and potassium with a bit of Vitamin C and  iron for flava.  According to several food health sources, it is an excellent source of nitrate which helps with blood flow which translates to improved athletic and physical performance.  Who wouldn’t want that?  It also helps maintain a healthy liver and with waste elimination.

That is why I named this power punch.  It packs a punch and a bunch of natural sugar so be careful if you are monitoring your sugar intake.  The deep red color lets you know it is also full of antioxidants.

I drink this before an endurance run so I can last.  ENJOY!

Ingredients

1/8 pineapple

1 beet

bunch of red grapes

4 large black plums

Equipment

Breville Juicer

POWer Punch Beet Juice

Isn’t the color gorgeous?

Instruction:  Clean, chop and prep all food for juicer.  Send through juicer, put in a cute glass and enjoy!  POW!

Got the idea of airtight mason jars to store excess juice in the fridge from Carla of RawRaw Life!  Check her out!

Want the smoothest pulp free juice ever then I highly recommend you get an Omega VRT350 juicer. It is amazing.

I’m not sure about beets…lol. I actually never liked them since my youth and then I thought I’d try them recently since I decided to focus on healthier food options. So I bought a bag of the Terra Sweets & Beets chips to see if I could adjust to the taste of the beets. Needless-to-say, I will not be buying those again, but I do very much enjoy the sweet potato chips and the bonus to those is that they have no salt added to them. They are definitely a snack I recommend, at least through the Terra company and they are officially on my fav list of healthy snacks.

When you are up to it – try adding beet juice to your juicer along with some other veggies or fruits. You can’t even taste it but you can feel the boost.

I have tried the Terra chips and they are pretty tasty. Never tried the beet chips though. Hmmmm. 🙂

Alright, I’ll try it only b/c it can be disguised and I am pretty curious about the extra boost. Thanks. BTW… I can’t believe you said, “Hmmm.” to the beet chips…lol. Give them a try, I’m sure YOU would like them since you’re a fan:)
