Have you stuck with your New Year’s resolutions or have they drifted off course a bit? If so, there’s no time like the present to recharge those fitness goals.
It can be hard to stay motivated if you don’t have a goal in mind (especially during the cold winter months). Keep yourself on track by writing down something you want to achieve in the future.
Maybe you want to be able to do 50 push-ups without stopping or maybe you want to run a 5K race. No matter what your fitness goal may be, there are steps you can take so that you can make sure that they are achieved!
1.Commit
This is definitely a major step in achieving a fitness goal. If there is a race coming up that you are planning on running – go ahead and register. Going on vacation this summer and want to look awesome in your bikini? Write that date on your calendar. “If you fail to plan, you are planning to fail.”
2. Make a Plan of Action
How will you achieve your fitness goals? If your goal involves losing weight and gaining muscle, you will need to follow a healthy diet plan and combine exercise with that plan. Make sure you are aware of what all goes into achieving your goal so you can allow yourself to succeed.
3. Fuel Your Body
Another one of the most important steps to achieving your goals is to FUEL your body with the right nutrients so you can succeed. Drink lots of water and focus more on eating unprocessed foods. You will love the results of how you feel after committing to fuel your body with healthy foods.
4. Try Something New
Does your normal workout routine have you in a rut or bored? Switch it up at least once a week to add excitement. Try a new HIIT class comibine with heart-rate training like at Orangetheory Fitness or lean out your muscles at Cardio Barre.
5. Have FUN
When you exercise, your body releases endorphins, which triggers a positive feeling in your body!
If you look at fitness and exercise as another task on your to-do list, you won’t be achieving the full effects of working out. Do what you love and combine that with your work outs! If you love to dance, get involved in a dance-style workout. If you enjoy a challenging workout – seek out a boot camp!

Great tips!
I work well when I write things out and share it with others. This helps me to feel more accountable.
