Beast mode is a term that should not be thrown around lightly. There is a lot of responsibility that comes with that term. I am finding OUT! I committed to boot camp 3 days a week which comes with 3 days worth of online workouts and working with my trainer 2 days a week. Going back to back M-F and Saturday is SERIOUS BUSINESS!
I made it through SOF boot camp this week and met up with my trainer yesterday morning at 6:00 am where we went straight in on the machines. Leg extensions and variations, adducter machine, push ups, mountain climbers, planks, squat machine, cable machine for tricep pull downs and jump squats left me tired, sweaty and exhausted and that was just for 30 minutes!
Last week during boot camp I got called out because I did not do the online workout and did not know what the exercises were. I refuse to let that happen again so I committed myself to downloading all of the workouts in pdf and storing them so I can make them up and do them during the holiday weekend since this is the last camp. I also committed myself to doing them today as suggested and highly recommended.
The workout went a little something like this:
- 5 minutes of jump rope – I did 10. I set my timer incorrectly so I did 2 sets of 5 minutes vs. 1,
- a bunch of ab work from crunches, flutter kicks, sit ups, side crunches, and V-ups,
- 10 sets of 100M all-out sprints. I set my treadmill to do 10 rounds of 30 second sprints, 1 minute recovery.
I am tired and sweaty but feel good and a little energized for my son’s foot ball game this cold Saturday morning.
This is me after my workout. My eyes really are the same size. Must be the angle. LOL!
To energize for this workout I took my 1 shot of Essence of Vitality and ate 2 scoops of vanilla Chobani yogurt with strawberries, blueberries and granola. That normally gives me the boost needed to power through.
