Disclaimer: I was provided complimentary prAna clothing from their early Winter Collection for the purposes of this post. All honest opinions and writing are my own.
Happy trails, happy prAna, happy holidays! It’s Fall but it feels like Winter time here in Maryland but unlike last year, I welcome spending time outside in the fresh cool air. Eventh ough I am a suburban woman in heart I love the flexibility to get more rural or urban as I see fit because both settings are no more than 5 minutes away from my front door. So hubby and I decided to take the children on a nice little hike out at a conservancy in Howard County located only 15 minutes away.
I had to find the right clothes because the trails can be a bit gravelly (is that a word) and windy because it is atop a beautiful hill. I immediately pulled out the prAna Mallory top and Canyon cord pant (featured in their early Winter Collection Catalog) and headed out with the family. As can be expected the kids wanted to play indoors and head home but we hung out and about so they could check out the cool sites including original barn structures where they dry corn, stored wagons, ice picks and hay.
What’s so fabulous about being fit and active is I can easily go from trail to street without getting tired and in a flash. Every now and again my husband and I like to hit the town and I really like the fact that prAna has clothing that easily transforms from fitness activity to after-hours event in a flash all while remaining stylish.
Besides having fit and fabulous apparel prAna is a company that as a pretty cool philosophy that makes it stand out from other brands.
prAna is Sanskrit for breath, life and vitality of the spirit. This ancient word holds great meaning for us, and so we borrowed it for our name. It lifts our aspirations and helps guide our actions towards becoming an evermore socially mindful and environmentally sustainable organization. prAna
prAna is 22 years old this year and believes in sustainability which focused on 3 areas: materials to make prAna products, materials and energy to service the business and people and working conditions.
“A brand should give much more than it takes from the world”. prAna
I agree with their philosophy which makes me feel even better by wearing their clothing in the gym, on the pavement or out on the town.
Do you know a fitness buff or environmentally conscious person who would go head over heels with this brand? Then share the love and tell them all about prAna, what they stand for and their cool clothes. You can even help them out by gifting them with a nice piece from the early Winter Collection Catalog.
