Friday Five: Five Inspirational Quotes

Friday 5

This week I thought I would share some of my favorite inspirational and motivational quotes that keep me going especially when I don’t want to, feel like it or feel tired/fatigued.  Before I go into my favorites I must shout out the wonderful hostesses of this Friday Five Link Up.

This link up is sponsored by Courtney from Eat Pray Run, DCCynthia from You Signed Up For What? and Mar from Mar on the Run!  Their fitness and running blogs are awesome so make sure you head on over and check them out.

Inspirational Quote #1:

1 Timothy 4:8

8 For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.

I love this quote because if you read it thoroughly it tells you – doesn’t matter if you exercise your body if you don’t exercise your faith because that is what will last you through all eternity.  Let’s not forget our spiritual selves, physical is simply one dimension of our health and well being.  Get right with God.

Inspirational Quote #2:

Inspirational quote

This is my second favorite quote of all time.  I like this one because it is telling the basic truth – if you are not being challenged, you are not being changed.  Change occurs in those moments of pressure, discomfort and disarray.  If your workouts are comfortable, don’t be surprised you are not seeing any significant changes.  Power it up, turn up the weights, turn on the sprints and push yourself.  You are stronger than you think you are (my other favorite inspirational quote).  🙂

Inspirational Quote #3:

I can because I think I can
BOOM mind over matter – if you can believe it, you can achieve it.  These may sound corny but they are tried and true!  Your body won’t go where your mind won’t take it.  I’ve had to mentally get myself through some very tough workouts in the past.

Inspirational Quote #4:

She is fierce
This quote is FIERCE….NUFF said!  Don’t let the small size fool you.  Some of the strongest people come in small packages.  Be fierce in all you do and you will succeed!

Inspirational Quote #5:

Give up on giving up
If you stop giving up you won’t have to keep starting over.
There you have it – my 5 favorite fitness quotes.  It takes more than quotes sometimes to power through but these definitely motivate and inspire me.

What quote inspires you and your workouts?

Behind #1, that is my all time favorite. I hate challenge because it is uncomfortable but if I want a noticeable change in my body – it is very necessary!
