My Journey - Fallon Johnson

FFFC:  Please introduce yourself to our readers (i.e. your name, occupation, hobbies, etc.).

My name is Fallon, 31 years old. I am an accountant and mother to a 7-year-old boy. I enjoy all aspects of fitness and helping others get into fitness.

FFFC:  What sparked your weight-loss transformation journey?

I got motivated to lose weight after having my son. I tried several times before to lose weight but was never successful. After having my son, and seeing how active he was, and being fed up with the extra weight, I told myself this time I would be successful in losing and keeping the weight off.  That was in 2012. I lost 65lbs that year and have been able to maintain my weight lost through exercise and diet.

FFFC:  What was your beginning and current weight or measurements?

I started my weight loss journey at 200 lbs, my current weight is 125lbs.

FFFC:  Which physical activities did you participate in during your weight-loss journey?

During my weight loss journey, I pretty much participated in whatever would keep me moving. Lol I did 5k’s, Zumba, Kickboxing, Hot Hula, steady cardio and weight lifting.

FFFC:  What inspired you to start competing on the stage in the Bikini category?

I got inspired through seeing other ladies pictures via Bodybuilding.com, Instagram, and Youtube. I loved the muscle definition both Bikini and Figure ladies carried. I decided to do bikini because one of my friends had competed in this category, as well as my posing coach suggesting that I would do good in this category. I enjoy the sassiness of bikini as well. Lol  My future plans are to eventually switch to figure.

FFFC:  What does your typical workout routine look like as you prepare for your competitions?

6 days of weight lifting and cardio. I usually start with cardio three days a week, and as I get closer to my show day, I increase my cardio session up to a hour a session. I do this to help with leaning out closer to show day.

FFFC:  What do you typically eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner as you prep for the stage?

My typical meals are as follows:

Breakfast: 3 egg whites with oatmeal ( usually do 1 packet of OatFit)

Snack: yogurt with almonds

Lunch: Chicken (4 oz), broccoli, sweet potato

Snack: strawberries/Rice cakes

Dinner: Flounder (4 oz)  & zucchini may have rice if macros allow.

FFFC:  What is your favorite fitness activity?

My favorite fitness activity would have to be Plyometric workouts. I love that they usually incorporate compound movements and keep your heart rate high.

FFFC:  What is the best thing about competing?

The best thing about competing is setting a goal, sticking to it and realizing that you a capable of completing whatever you put your mind too. Also getting glammed up and meeting the other competitors.

FFFC:  What would you say is the most challenging about competing?

The most challenging part of competing is the mental aspect of it. Fighting through the cravings or people telling you it’s okay to go off your diet. When you know it’s not.

FFFC:  What advice do you have for other women interested in competing in bikini?

If you are thinking of competing please do it for yourself! Do it because you want to push yourself to the next level. Do it because you want a challenge with a big reward in the end. Also remember to have fun and enjoy the process, especially the day of the show! It will be worth it!

FFFC:  What future shows do you have coming up and how can folks find you on social media?

I am done competing for this year, but plan to hit  the stage again in October and November 2018. Giving myself time to build more muscle and time to lean out.
