No Sugar Swap Recipes (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Desserts and Snacks)
In the month of September the Femme Fitales and me are following a NO SUGAR Challenge. Let me just say the struggle is REAL REAL REAL!!!! For many of us sugar is a key part of our diet. But sugar also feeds obesity, diabetes, cancer and other chronic illnesses. Because like us, disease likes to feed on sugar to.
So I asked several of my fellow fitness blogger friends to help me compile a list of recipes where we swap out the sugar for healthier options like fresh fruit or leave it out all together. This was a lot of fun to pull together and these recipes look really delicious so try one, try them all.
Just swap out the sugar for something that is healthier for you. Your body will thank you for it.
Here the video I made with the introduction to the “No Sugar” challenge and how I was doing with it.
If you like pizza, this butternut squash version will tease your tastebuds. YUM! Lauren Lives Healthy shares another one of her faves!

Who doesn’t love ICE CREAM????!!!! That is my ultimate favorite and sometimes my downfall when it comes to falling off the wagon with a healthy nutritious diet. This recipe shares a healthy version of this creamy dream. They made it even better with peanut butter and chocolate.

Gigi also shares her awesome version of orange popsicles. Remember running out to the ice cream truck to meet the ice cream man to buy these? Welp here she shares a healthier version that you are sure to find satisfying.

Fudgcicles always made me smile as a child and Gigi Eats Celebrities does not disappoint with her version which brings back memories but doesn’t pack on the sugar and pounds.

And last but not least, the piece de resistance….BIRTHDAY CAKE but made in a healthy way so you don’t feel like you are cheating ’cause you aren’t!!!!

So don’t wait, get to clicking and preparing your sugar-free meals for the weeks to come! Good luck on the NO SUGAR challenge!
My comment disappeared so I will leave another… I find the Sugar Monster everywhere, and often hidden. I think it hard to avoid… these recipes are a good way to have a sweet treat. Thanks for the roundup. o
Ummmmmm this stuff looks amazing! I have a few similar recipes in my arsenal and like to only have sugar from natural sources, like fruit! Banana “ice cream” is my go to to satisfy my sweet tooth – and smoothies! MMMMMMMMM o

Hi Diatta,
You are so creative! I love this roundup of sugar-swap recipes. I have not used white sugar in years. I swap with organic stevia, dates, sweet fruits or coconut palm sugar usually and it works out well. Most of the time I use stevia to sweeten my green tea, oatmeal or granola. I use sweet fruits to sweeten smoothies and blended puddings. I find that if I get enough nutrition in my smoothies and meals by adding hemp, flax, chia and sometimes moringa powder, I don’t even crave the sugar at all! Thank you for sharing these healthy and delicious sugar swap recipes with us at the Plant-Based Potluck Party Blog Hop! I sincerely appreciate it. o

We are trying Gigi. I think many of us were raised up on sugar. I remember my aunt giving me sugar water to drink instead of lemonade. Crazy right?
