Product Review: Essentia Water

Essential Water Product Review 2

Disclaimer:  I received a complimentary case of Essentia Water but as always, all honest opinions are my very own.  This post contains affiliate links.

One day I was running around in boot camp class wishing I could drink an ocean because I was so parched but I do not drink or even sip water during that intense class because I get stitch cramps.  I typically drink about 16 to 20 oz of water about 30 minutes before class starts but that is it.

Imagine how thrilled I was when I was contacted by a representative from Essentia Water to try and share my opinion about their water.  Now you may be saying water is water.  But that isn’t necessarily the case here.

Here are some facts (you know I like to share facts along with my opinions on these product reviews) about Essentia Water you may find helpful:

  • 9.5 pH balanced
  • Alkaline water which is good for weight loss, youthful skin and quenching thirst
  • Added electrolytes

Ph balanced Essentia Water

Where to purchase:

You can purchase bottles of this water at your local grocery store, WalMart, Amazon, Whole Foods, Essentia Water online, or simply go to the Essentia Water site and find a store near you with their store locator.

Price:

A pack of 24, 20 oz bottles costs about $75.00 on Amazon.com.

Essentia Water Electrolytes

My review:

I received about 12 bottles of Essentia Water and between my active husband and me, we went through the bottles.  I had all sizes from the sports size to the 1 liter big bottle.  I drank this water before my runs, before my morning workouts and post-workout.  This water was very good.  I mean, there is a noticeable difference in taste between this water and the standard brand that I drink.

It was smooth, had a pleasant taste and quenched my thirst.  When speaking with the rep he also noted this water can be consumed during intense activity and won’t slosh around in your stomach and he was right.  I didn’t get that waterlogged feeling when I started moving around while drinking it and did not get ONE stitch cramp.  That makes this water a winner for me.  My husband even took a few bottles and he LOVED IT!!  He drank it during hot yoga and weight training.

For kicks and giggles I shared a bottle with my cousin’s weight lifting coach to see what she thought.  She sent me a photo of her enjoying the water during class and gave it major thumbs up.  She left directly after class and picked up some bottles from our local grocery store.

Now when you think about their water bottles you might be thinking, great they have awesome water but what about those bottles filling up the landfills (I actually had someone say this).  Here’s the awesome thing, their bottles are PET-1 and can be recycled at virtually any recycling plant around.  They are also BPA and Phlalate free.  So drinking this water not only will do the body good it is also Earth friendly.  I really like that.

Pros:

  • Delicious and smooth
  • Affordable
  • BPA-free bottle
  • Doesn’t cause stitch cramps during strenuous and intense activity

Cons:

  • Believe me when I say I do not have any cons – I really like this water hands down over anything else I have consumed previously.

I give this product 10 out of 10 stars.  Not only is it refreshing and hydrating to the body, it is affordable, available, and kind to Mother Earth.  Can’t get any better than that.

What is your favorite brand of water and is it Earth friendly?

OK I’ll have to admit, I could not get past $75 for 480 oz! If I did my math right, that’s 3.75 gallons. We buy local (Vermont) purified water, and spend about $15 for 15 gallons. That said, it’s not electrolyte/ pH balanced, just regular ol’ H2O, so that might be the reason for the cost difference!

I am a total water snob and they do taste differently. I usually drink smart water which also has electrolytes. This is really expensive though right?

Everything sounded great until you said $75! I stopped buying water of any kind other than what comes to my house from the city. I have a filter on my fridge and I use my own bottle. I love that this water has all the Ph and electrolytes but something about paying for water is hard for me to swallow… 😉

I like that it has electrolytes, as I work out longer than the 90 minutes necessary for electrolyte replacement two days a week.

Wow, great review. I am not a fan of purchasing water, but that’s my inner tree hugger talking lol. Interesting that the increased alkalinity has such a positive effect. It is darn expensive, but that’s awesome that you and your hubs loved it! #wowlinkup

It is a little pricey but it is definitely a step above the other wearers I have tried.

Sounds interesting! I will have to try it out as I too don’t normally buy water, but the ph balance, alkalinity, and electrolytes intrigue me.

This water is very good and seems to absorb into the cells very fast.

You did a wonderful job on this review, however, I cannot justify paying over $3.00 for a bottle of water.

I don’t think I could justify the cost of this water to drink it very often, but I’d like to try it. I’ll have to look for a single bottle at my local grocery store. I really like water with electrolytes, especially when I’m active. #ProductReviewParty

I need to drink more water, but I waste too many bottled waters to pay that much for it. #ProductReviewParty
