Please introduce yourself to our readers.
My name is Carla Parson, and I’m a Sterile Processing Technician at Beaumont Hospital in Farmington Hills, Michigan. I’m 30 years old, and I’ve been happily married for 3.5 years.
Currently, my hobbies are reading, writing, and motivating others through my fitness posts on Instagram and Facebook.
What sparked your weight-loss transformation journey?
What sparked my weight loss journey was my multiple health issues. Pre-diabetic. Sleep Apnea. High blood Pressure. High Cholesterol. Gynecological issues. Chest/Joint pains.
What was your beginning and current weight or measurements?
My journey began at 365lbs, I’m currently 250lbs, and my goal weight is 199 lbs.
How long did it take for your weight-loss transformation from beginning to end?
It’s been a rough 5 years, however, I’m absolutely trusting the process.
Which physical activities did you participate in during your journey?
Physical activities that I love participating in is kickboxing, strength training, cardio sculpt classes and bootcamps.
How did your eating habits change?
What do you typically eat for breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner?
What is your favorite fitness activity?
My favorite fitness activity is is unequivocally and undoubtedly KICKBOXING.
What do you do now to maintain your physique?
I maintain my physique by continuing to eat clean, changing up my fitness routines, defining new goals, taking my measurements and journaling my progress.
How did you develop and sustain the willpower to avoid the bad stuff (i.e. junk food, bad drinks, lack of activity, etc.)?
Although there’s days when avoiding is more difficult than others, I develop and sustain by thinking about how far I’ve come within my journey, and how much healthier I feel.
What advice do you have for someone looking to get started with their fitness journey but not sure where to begin?
