Target C9 Activewear Haul and #C9atTarget Review

Target C9 Activewear

I’ve worn C9 fitness gear from Target® for YEARS!  Back in 2005 when I learned one should wear running attire with wicking material vs. cotton I went to Target® to score my first official pair of running shorts.

Fast forward many moons, years and running miles later – I’ve begun to wear more of their attire such as their capris during my rigorous boot camp and personal training sessions at the gym.  My basic color was black for everything but now they have a new line of tanks and shorts that bring a little color and a little zing to my drab workout clothes.

Here’s what I purchased from their online store:

Time to Test It Out:

I met up with my running buddies at 5:00 am for our regular early-morning 5-mile run around a major loop in our city.  This is one of our “favorite” loops because it has a bunch of killer hills!  I wore my new running activewear and received compliments on the look and fit.  After blushing we took off for our run.  One sweaty hour later of conquering hills I was very pleased with the comfort level, roominess and flexibility of my running outfit.  I didn’t feel constricted and the material kept me cool.  I even received a HONK from my personal trainer who recognized me out on the pavement running due to the liveliness of the colors.

What I liked:

Women’s Sporty Layered Run Tank  I purchased the medium sized tank and completely loved loved loved the layered look.  It comes with a built-in sports bra which provided the support I needed while running in this tank.  I liked the fact I didn’t have to worry about looking for separate pieces of workout clothes since everything was sewn together.  I especially liked the racerback.  I also loved the variety of tank colors.  I wore this tank during my 5-mile run and it was roomy, sweat wicking and I didn’t overheat.

Women’s Run Short with Knit Waistband – I purchased the medium sized running shorts and they fit me perfectly.  They come with built-in panties which didn’t detract or enhance the experience.  It also comes with an inside front pocket large enough to hold a key or energy gel.  The variety of colors available for the shorts nicely complement the layered run tank.

In summary both pieces of clothing offered room to move without cinching or feeling tight.  I was comfortable running, walking and sprinting in this gear.  I especially loved the bright colors.  I would definitely recommend this line to my avid running buddies.

Nice! I have always wondered how the target activewear holds out. I always love to see the smaller brands doing well, and although target is not a small brand itself, any room they take from Nike makes me happy. As a Saucony sponsored athlete, I have had the nike rose glasses removed, and I see the benefits of other brands!
