This is my basic go-to smoothie when I am short on time but need something filling. ENJOY!
Simple Smoothie
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
handful of fresh strawberries hulled
handful of frozen blueberries
1/2 banana
1 scoop vanilla whey protein (I prefer Jay Robb)
Ground flax seeds (optional)
Add to blender until smooth, pour and enjoy.

Yum! Have you ever tried using chocolate almond milk? It’s a fun twist!

Hmm, I have never used chocolate almond milk but that can’t hurt. I would like to try that with all-natural peanut butter.

I just wanted to suggest instead of using Chocolate Almond Milk (which has sugar in it), to use Cocoa Powder in organic form which can be found at any health food store. It gives the smoothie the chocolate flavor one desires without the sugar…AND you get the benefits of the antioxidants from the cocoa. Also try using Almond butter instead of peanut butter! It’s better for you and has amazing oils for the heart! Almond Butter can be found at trader joes (without the salt)!. Peanuts are a questionable legume, not necessarily that good for you.
