My job subscribed to which is a company who offers up meal plans and grocery shopping lists in order to cook and feed your family.  You can customize your food preferences and click a button and dishes spin and create a meal for each day of the week if you like (I will be providing a review on so stay tuned).  I immediately signed up since it was free for associates and have been trying their dishes.  Here is one I cooked that came out DIVINE!  Had the entire house smelling delicious since today is our first day of snowfall this year.

  1. Sort and wash beans; place in a large bowl. Cover with water to 2 inches above beans; cover and let stand 8 hours. Drain.
  2. Combine beans, broth, and next 5 ingredients (through chile) in an electric slow cooker. Cover and cook on LOW 10 hours. Discard bay leaves. Stir in juice and salt. Ladle 1 1/2 cups soup into each of 6 bowls; sprinkle each with 2 teaspoons chopped cilantro.

I soaked the black beans overnight.

All ingredients added to slow cooker and cooking for 10 hours. The house smells LOVELY!

This recipe sounds perfect on a cold day. I’ve used black beans in the slow cooker but not dried beans and I love the lime element. Sounds great!
