I’m joining some amazing bloggers for The Ultimate Coffee Date. Jill of Jill Conyers, Nikki of Grab Your Kicks and Lynda of Fitness Mom Wine Country came up with this fabulous link up event where we get together and chat up our friends over a cup of coffee or tea (whichever you prefer). Life gets so busy sometimes it is hard to just sit down and chill. This link up meet up is happening every first Saturday of the month which is just the right amount of time to catch up and bond with friends.
So come on in and check out my new coffee maker. I bought it for my mom and mother-in-law when they come to visit since I don’t really drink coffee that much without cocoa powder in it. Would you care for a cup of Joe or a green smoothie? You know I’m on that green smoothie challenge.

This has been a slightly rough week with this knee. I think I am going to go see an orthopedist just to get it checked out. While I can run, jump and everything else, I felt some pain trying to workout yesterday with my personal trainer. OUCH!

I had a fantabulous birthday on Tuesday. I took the day off, went to the Pearl Spa and had a great time getting pedicures, drinking wine in the middle of the day and bonding with my sister cousin Teresa.

My cousin Teresa closed on her house this week and she will be moving out from our home. The kids are going to miss her and quite frankly I will too. She was great to have around. After her father’s sudden death in December 2013 having her living here helped us both cope with it much better. BUT she is only 5 minutes away and her new single-family home is GORGEOUS so can’t wait to hang over there some more. I gotta stop by today to check out her new appliances.

They need to make a decision about this Iron Girl Half Marathon race scheduled on April 27th. Since Tri-Columbia went bankrupt I don’t know if the race is still on. I’m so confused. LOL. And with the weather we had this Winter…umm I didn’t reallyl train. My Nike+ app just screamed at me yesterday because it said I had a 14-mile run today. HAHAHAHAHAHA!! Yeah right.

Be a blessing to someone today and every day. That has been one of the key things I have been focusing on so that I am a positive influence on someone’s life.
Thanks girl for stopping by and hanging with the Hulkster for a little while. I really enjoy our talks. This green smoothie is good isn’t it?

Have fun with the word. I use it often – I’m sure my friends are tired of hearing me say it.

Oh I’m sorry about you knee. I’ve been having some issues with my left knee to the point that I cannot do extensions. And happy birthday! I wish it was a great one!

Thank you Maria. I had a ball this year for my birthday. I am not going to let this left knee defeat me. No way.

I’m not a coffee or tea drinking, but hope hot chocolate is ok for the virtual coffee date *Ü* I’m not a green smoothie drinker either.
It’s been a while since I’ve slowed down to get a pedicure, but sandal season is coming.
Good luck with the knee and things with your sister!

I stumbled across your blog from the #ultimatecoffeedate. I loved the way you laid out your post, and I would tell you to be SUPER careful with your knee and decision making on your Tri! The bucket list cross off isn’t worth ruining your knee for a lifetime 🙂 I’d also say thanks for the closing request to “be a blessing to someone today”. It’s always good to hear that reminder!

Ash thank you so much for stopping by and having virtual coffee with me. I am definitely heeding your recommendation because I do not want to be hobbling for the rest of my life with this knee thing. I hope you visit with us again soon. Have a beautiful day.
