Read what I think about Flat Tummy Shakes meal replacement and how it helped me get ready for my Cabo San Lucas vacation 2018 #OperationBreathless.
Disclaimer: This is a paid collaboration between Flat Tummy and Blog Meets Brand and you can rest assured all opinions are most certainly my very own.
Coming out of the Winter months I typically have a few extra pounds of fat to shed. I tend to get into hibernation mode and my regular workout routine tends to wane.
Now that Spring is in full gear and my husband and I have booked our Summer vacation for the beginning of July I need to get my body back to its fit self and Flat Tummy Shake by Flat Tummy Co is what I’ve added to my arsenal to help me achieve that.
The Plan
Here’s my plan. I intend to workout no less than 5 times a week, one hour each splitting up that time with 30 minutes of weight training to build lean muscle and 30 minutes of cardio to cut the fat. Afterwards I need to replenish my energy and that is where Flat Tummy Shake comes in.
That will serve as my post-workout because I tend to skip it but the shake is a quick and easy way to replenish. I believe this plan will have me toned and tighter in 5 weeks.
How Flat Tummy Shakes Work
Here’s how the Flat Tummy Shake works. First, it doesn’t have anything in it I can’t pronounce, it’s packed with 20 grams of plant-based protein, it has over 22 vitamins and minerals as well as 50 fruits and vegetables.
It’s vegan, soy free, dairy free and gluten free so if you are allergic to dairy or gluten, this shake might just be the answer for you.
It’s designed as a meal replacement shake for women so if you are preparing for a wedding, special event, have to get into that special dress or need to ramp up your fitness, this shake can assist with achieving that.
Let me be clear, there are no such things as magic shakes and one should always eat real food when possible but if you are constantly on the go this shake is a great way to get in your nutrients.
You can also use this as an addition to your meal plan to help move you closer to your fitness and body goals.
The Program
Here’s the program. You drink 1 to 2 sachets a day Monday through Friday. Monday’s shake has an extra boost in it to help get you over the Monday drag and then you drink the other shakes throughout the week.
You blend it up with 10 oz of water or nut milk give or take (want it thinner, add more liquid, etc.) and drink up.
You maintain your normal water intake as well as continue eating healthy and well portioned meals throughout the day.
My Thoughts
I have the 4 week program to help get me ready for my vacation. I’m not done with the program yet but I started it at the same time I declared my #OperationBreathless fitness goal last week. I’ve been following the program and so far so good.
I have the Matcha Green Tea flavor and it tastes just like the name. I alternate with using water and unsweetened almond milk and it tastes the same with both. I’ve even experimented with frozen mixed berries and bananas and that was very delicious.
Given how active I’ve been at the gym drinking it as a post-workout keeps me full for at least 2 to 2.5 hours after drinking it which is very good.
With regular food my stomach normally starts grumbling after 1.5 hours. I’ve also noticed regular elimination and no bloating. I’m excited to continue on the program because so far real good.
