Lose Maximum Weight Fast by Drinking Water

Lose Maximum Weight Fast by Drinking Water 2

Hey Fitness Family what’s good?  The holidays are here and as you can imagine we are all busy busy busy but that isn’t an excuse to ignore your health.  During this time of year there is always an abundance of food and libations.  At work, at home and even out in the stores while shopping.  With all of that, my readers are constantly asking how they can lose maximum weight fast.

I have one simple answer – drink water.  Here’s why:

Reason #1:  Drinking water makes you feel fuller longer

It’s true.  If you keep up on your daily water intake and sip a few ounces every hour on the hour you will find you are not AS hungry during meal time as you normally would be.  Also many times we mistake the onset of dehydration as hunger so we eat instead of replenish our fluids with water which is what our bodies are really craving.

Reason #2:  Drinking water curbs cravings

When you drink water regularly it helps  curb cravings for unhealthy food.  I’ve done it and it actually works.  Add some slices of grapefruit, lemon or mint and you really won’t crave those chips or chocolate bars calling your name.

Reason #3:  It flushes out waste and toxins

That excess waste and toxins hold on to fat which in turn makes you weigh more.  Water helps get rid of waste (which has weight to it) so as that leaves your body, you will see a decrease in your weight.  It’s awesome.

Reason #4:  You burn more calories drinking water

Remember, water has zero calories so while your body is processing it, it is using energy so you are in the negative when it comes to caloric intake.  Next time you sit down for lunch or dinner SKIP the sugary soft drinks and juice and reach for good ol’ H2O.

Reason #5:  It gives you energy

If you ever experience that mid-afternoon sleepiness from overeating at lunch, sip on water and it refreshes and revives you.  It gives you energy to complete the activity you want to do therefore burning calories.  There are 3500 calories in a pound so that is how much you need to burn EXTRA to lose one pound in a week so move more and eat less and you will hit that goal easily.

Now that you have the 5 reasons how and why water helps to maximize weight loss fast, the next logical question is “How much water should I drink a day to maximize weight loss”?

That’s a very good question and there are several rules of thumb on that.

Rule of Thumb #1:  Drink 64 ounces a day

That is a basic rule of thumb but it doesn’t take a lot into account such as weight, gender, age and activity level.  But if all else fails – shoot for at least 8, 8 oz glasses of fresh water a day.

Rule of Thumb #2:  Drink 1/2 of your body weight in ounces

That means if you weight 150 pounds you would drink at least 75 ounces of water a day.  In my opinion that is a better assessment of how much water you should aim to drink daily BUT it still doesn’t take into account your activity level or the weather conditions since warm weather may cause you to sweat  more, therefore losing more water and needing to replenish more often.

Since both of these options fall short, I have a solution for you – the Thermos Connected Hydration Bottle with Smart Lid.  This water bottle actually tracks your water consumption for you as well as suggests the daily amount of water you should drink a day.  How cool is that?  Here’s how it works:

  1. You download the FREE Thermos app and set up your profile

Thermos Bottle app profile

2.  Next you set up your hydration goal.  You can either customize your own goal or have the app suggest your goal.

  • Your suggested goal is based off of several factors that you must enter including your age, sex, height, weight, activity duration, and activity intensity

#HydrationGoals

3.  Fill your water bottle with fresh water and start drinking and refill when you finish a full bottle

4.  The app shows you the water temperature, how much water you have consumed, what amount of time and what percent of goal you are at at any given time

Daily water intake tracking with the Thermos Connected Hydration Bottle with Smart Lid

The Smart Lid is what syncs with the free Thermos app via Bluetooth Smart Wireless Technology to help track your water intake.  It even syncs up with your Fitbit if you have one too.  It’s quite fascinating.

I’ve been using the Thermos Connected Hydration Bottle with Smart Lid for the past week and it has really helped me stay on track with my #HydrationGoals, even during a busy holiday season.  The sleek shape of the bottle is easy to hold, the flip lid ensures no leakage and protects the mouth piece and the blue color is both attractive and easy to spot.  It’s very easy to clean too, simply hand wash with warm soapy water and let air dry (even the Smart Lid).

It  has an easy-to-carry handle which makes it extremely portable.  It even fits in my car’s cupholder.  With such ease in use and portability there’s no reason this water bottle wouldn’t stay by your side all day.

It doesn’t get any easier than this.  When your body is properly hydrated it won’t hold on to water causing the bloating and extra pounds.  Instead it will become an efficient, metabolism burning machine which will help you lose maximum weight fast.

The Thermos Connected Hydration Bottle with Smart Lid costs $59.99 and you can learn more about it HERE.  It can be very instrumental to help you lose the maximum amount of weight simply by helping you drink  the right amount of water.

Not so much when I get busy since it’s right in front of me almost all day. It’s more because the water has warmed to room temperature and taste like paper.

I drink about 100oz a day or more depending on how much I work out. I LOVE the idea of this bottle, I’ve been looking for something like this for a while, but I am NOT all about the price tag sadly. It’s just too much in my opinion. Great review!

Wow-that is a fancy smancy water bottle!!

I don’t know how much water I drink each day actually. I really need to get better at adding up those Oz. I really check my pee to see if I am hydrated enough. With my level of activity-i can see how I may not be getting enough water though.

Great challenge. I always want to do these daily challenges but always slip off :(. I will make every effort to stick to the December challenge.

    Have a good week!

Some days my water game is totally on point and others I feel like I get to the end of the day and haven’t drank nearly enough! Having cold, filtered water on hand helps! This bottle is high tech!

Great tips and review! I recently started using the Thermos hydration bottle and love it too! I was really shocked after taking the hydration quiz how much MORE water over half my body weight in ounces I need to be drinking daily due to my activity level. It was nearly double. This is the perfect thing to help me be more cognizant. Happy hydrating. xo
