The good news is that there are two ...

After all, one of the perks of working out is that you can finally try on that tiny swimsuit you threw into the back of ...

Reasons Why I Wake Up Early to Workout
I have determined the best time of day for me to get my workout in is first thing in the morning. It took a while for me to draw this conclusion but several things helped me get here. First let me start by saying I began a regular fitness program in 2005 after being inspired by a co-worker who survived breast cancer. She was in her 50's ...

My New Normal
I have been working out regularly since 2008. I started working out regularly again then because I went out with some friends, one of whom I hadn't seen for a year, and she looked FANTASTIC. Small waist, petite physique ... all that. I wanted to learn how she got that way. I found out she had been working with a personal trainer. I knew ...
Worthington Overlook Running Crew
I woke up at 6:30 am because since I normally wake up at 5 am my body is just used to being up. Not a bad thing just an observation. I sent out an invite earlier this week about a Worthington Overlook Run with the ladies of Femme Fitale in the private group as well as on the email distribution list. I received 2 RSVPs. One person showed ...
No Excuses #Workout
Sometimes you have to be flexible and that is just what I was this morning. My trainer needed to move my time so I met her bright and early at 5:00 am today. Well it actually wasn't that bright - it was PITCH BLACK but I showed up rearing to go. I got there before they even unlocked the doors. Below is the workout of the day. No excuses ...
I was sweating up a storm today with today's workout. I was working hard PLUS it was hot up in there. Either way I started my workout with a 9-minute mile treadmill warm up. Gotta get that blood flowing. So warm up on the treadmill - go quick so your body doesn't know what you are up to and WERK IT! ENJOY!
I love my trainer to death. Been working out with her for a minute now. I am seeing progress and results. But seriously - after boot camp, I am SOOOO not in the mood for her. I say this because sometimes I end up working the same body part which is achey and sore. Thursday at Sanders Optimum Fitness Boot Camp we did at least 400 ...
Felt good with my progress with today's workout with my personal trainer. We did a bunch of stuff tha tmade me feel strong. I am feeling a bit achey on the back of my neck from the smith machine barbell but other than that - I feel GREAT!
Smith machine - right ...
Never Too Much #Workout
I'm back at it in the gym with my personal trainer Heather Brooke Malone-Wolf (mouthful right)? I started double dipping again with trainer and boot camp. It is hard but necessary if I want to meet my goal of wearing a 2-piece this summer while on vacation. As my girl tells me all the time, Summer Bodies Are Made In The Winter. Well this ...
I must admit this is one of the most RATCHET songs I have ever heard. I also discovered my husband downloaded it on iTunes! Regardless of how off the hook it is sometimes we just need to get RAW because it helps us through those tough workouts or long arduous runs. Well I had to name this workout after this song because it was a tough one ...
Taking The Plunge
I've been a fitness enthusiast for years. I remember being 12 and away at camp and working out on their nautilus machines and taking aerobics to the high-energy songs of the 80's like "Gloria" and "Maniac". That was also the birth era of rap music which has its bunch of songs to work out to. This has been in my blood for a while. When I ...
Happy December 31st
As we close out the year 2012 I have to admit - I do not look forward to crowded gyms full of people on the fitness bandwagon. I do have to admit - I must get over my selfish ways because while I hate jockying for equipment and machines, I am very glad to see people taking an interest in their health and well-being. Even if it is just for a ...
Reminiscing on 2012
Wow what an amazing year for me and my family. Not just in fitness but overall. I will keep this post focused on fitness though. When the year began I was a stepmill queen. I learned about it around October/November of 2011 and was using it to up my cardio at every turn because it was one of the few machines in the gym where I found I ...
