Hi my name is Shanica Flannigan. I go by Katt Flannigan.
What sparked your weight-loss transformation journey?
This has honestly been a trying journey and I have been on this journey for 6 years I started in February 2013.
Well what inspired me to keep going when I wanted to give up is the death of my mom and my two daughters.
What was your beginning and current weight or measurements?
My starting weight was 321 lbs my heaviest weight 344 lbs and my current weight is 198 lbs and I am 5’2.
How did your eating habits change?
I stopped eating sweets and carbs, stayed away from soda, I ate baked or grilled chicken and fish didn’t eat much red meat… I also would do the JJ Smith smoothie cleanse every 3 to 4 months
What is your favorite fitness activity?
I workout 5 days a weeks. I do cardio muscle toning and strength training workouts.
I also make up my own cardio and toning workouts called Phatt and Simple workouts.
How do you stay motivated?
I was my own fitness goal. I knew what I was trying to look like and I went for it.
What advice do you have for someone looking to get started with their fitness journey but not sure where to begin?
The biggest lesson I have learned sooo far is this is a process no one journey is the same so that mean you will not receive the same results and as long as you never give up you will never be defeated.
The best advice I can give is life is a beautiful thing one you start living and stop existing Beauty Is Pain is my motto with every beautiful thing you have to go thru some type of pain!!!
