Finding fitness - Top Apps to Help You Make Healthy Choices

Those changes can start today and technology can help. Here’s a range of apps that will help you get in shape and keep you there. Make some healthy changes that start with a few finger clicks.

FitStar allows a user to give subjective feedback to help the app tailor a workout that is both challenging and appropriate for one’s fitness level. The associated company was bought by FitBit, so you can expect more features to come. Furthermore, people like the cheery and positive in-app coach, former NFL player, Tony Gonzalez.

Lose It! is perfect for calorie counters. The app connects with other digital health apps and devices. Some find it easier to lose weight when others are ‘watching.’ Lose weight or lose ‘face.’

Pact

PACT

Do you think you’ll get to the gym today? Are you confident enough to place a wager on that? The app forces you to put your money where your mouth is. If you reach your goals and get to the gym, you earn cash. If you slack and fall short of goals, you have to pay up.

Spring Running Music

Spring Track

What’s the best type of workout music? That’s a tricky question and one that will likely spark debate. However, maybe the question is wrong. Maybe the right question is, “What’s the right tempo for this specific activity?” Spring Running Music app helps you solve that question by suggesting music based on tempo. Ask for slow, medium, or fast paced selections.

Alarm Clock For Me

Alarm Clock For Me

A great day starts with an early workout. Of course, it’s hard to rise early, so an alarm clock comes in handy. However, why spend money and waste space on a clunky alarm clock when you already own one. Download the Android app for your devices and your smartphone becomes your new alarm clock. Now there are no excuses not to get up early and head to the gym.

Vida Health Coach

They say it’s easier to exercise if you have a coach. If you shell out $15 per week, the Vida Health Coach will align you with a coach who works with you one one one no matter what your fitness goals are. This app is especially great for those with special needs associated with gastrointestinal conditions, etc.

Have you ever tried any of these apps?  Which is your favorite?

So funny you put the alarm clock app in there because that’s my biggest motivation on a weekend! That awful ringing noise is enough to wake my whole street, haha. It gets me up and ready for my workout though. Nice post!
