Who is Teyana Taylor? She is an actress, singer and dancer who’s been in the game for years but burst on the scene on Sunday, August 28th with an amazing and draw-dropping dance routine that has all women sane heading to the gym to get to work to obtain her hot post-baby body (yes she had a baby about 8 months ago). As you can imagine I’ve been asked how to get her body and while I believe this young and talented woman is BLESSED with good genes, I have read she stays active with dance moves to keep her body tight and right. Most importantly folks want her abs. Well Fitales – you can get it but you will have to put in work. Also please note, your body may not end up EXACTLY like hers because there are many factors that play into her fabulous physique such as metabolism, age, genetics and activity level but you can be your OWN Teyana if you want.
See, dancing along may not be enough for most of us to fight the flab but I have created a cardio and exercise routine when paired together will take you no more than 1 hour to complete but get your metabolism fired up to burn calories during the workout and throughout the day.
Also, if you want those come-through abs make sure you do your job in the kitchen to ward off excess flab by:
- Cutting out food with added sugar – consume no more than 20 grams a day
- Cut out processed food – if it is MANufactured in a factory – more than like it is processed. Minimize these foods
- Eat more food from the Earth such as fresh fruit and veggies
- Drink at least 74 oz of water a day and an additional 8 oz per every 25 pounds overweight you are
- Cut out fried foods, alcohol, and pastries of any kind
- Eat at least .8 grams of protein per body weight in pounds
Now on to these killer workouts. First up we have HIIT cardio (high intensity interval training). This will keep your body guessing and just like driving a car in the city with stop and start – you will burn more calories in these 30 minutes than if you follow a steady state cardio workout for 1 hour. Don’t believe me? Put it to the test by using a heart rate monitor to calculate total calorie burn with this vs. 1 hour of steady state. The other half of this equation is building muscle and strength to burn calories throughout the day even when you finish your workout. This workout requires only your body weight which helps you burn more calories.
