It’s Summer time and I am very excited about the warm weather, laid back attitude and having more time with family. I have been eating out a little bit more than usual and need to get ready for a nice vacation in Jamaica and wanted to get my body in a certain mode before hitting the beach and the pool. I know I’m not the only one – you all have had that mindset too right?
When I was contacted to try the WeighFast nutritional detox it was RIGHT ON TIME because I knew I needed to “cleanse” before all of my indulging while on vacation. This program came with the following:
- ThinnerHealth nutritional detox powder
- Satisfiber hunger control shake
- HealthiBlender shaker bottle
- Instruction guide and tracker
- Digital pedometer FREE with promo code “GOWALK” (optional)
- Body tape measure (optional)
You can check out my full unboxing here.
The instructions were very straightforward which I liked because with such busy days I didn’t want anything too complicated. Basically for 2 days you take 2 scoops of the ThinnerHealth shake 3 times a day in either water, juice or nut milk and 1 scoop of the Satisfiber shake the alternating 3 times a day with 8 ounces of water.
You track your beginning weight and waistline in the tracker on Day 1 as well as check off when you consumed each shake. You repeat this activity on Day 2 and on Day 3 it concludes with final weight and measurement. Easy peasy right? I chose a low-key weekend to do everything because I didn’t want any problems. Fortunately I didn’t have any.
I started on a Saturday morning at 8 am by weighing myself in and taking my waist measurements as soon as I woke up. Looked promising. I then began the fast. I was doing good until the afternoon came in and I got very hungry. I took the final ThinnerHealth and Satisfiber shakes and had to get something to eat. Yeah I cheated. *hangs head in shame*.
The next day I got up and said I was going to do better so I weighed myself (I actually gained 2 pounds) and measured my waist (lost 1 inch) and continued with my shakes for the day.
I still got hungry in the afternoon and had to have a little nibble (sorry guys I have to keep it real) but I kept my food healthy and clean. Oh did I mention NO ALCOHOL while on this fast? But it’s for 2 days so that wasn’t bad at all.
The ThinnerHealth shakes were DELICIOUS! I consumed each one with 12 oz of unsweetened almond milk which is about 50 calories (none of the base liquids you use should be more than 120 calories). It has a mild vanilla taste and sweetened with stevia and I looked forward to drinking it daily.
The Satisfiber shakes had a mild taste of cinnamon and tasted very good in plain water to me. I had to stir it for a few minutes to dissolve it and it wasn’t gritty. #WIN
Overall I would definitely do this fast again. Everyone speaks to other fasting programs such as juice or smoothie cleanses but this one is very nutrition dense and is NOT a colon cleanse so you didn’t have the uncomfortable “running to the bathroom” effect. The Satisfiber shake is to help curb hunger (as you can see I needed to drink more of it to curb mine) since you aren’t eating solid foods while on the 2-day fast. Did I mention plenty of water should be consumed while doing this brief fast? It helps stave off hunger too. I think I’m just greedy. 🙂

I actually want to do it again because after a week of indulging I feel I need another quick start fast to reset my system and liver.
