March Turn Up Fitness and Nutrition Challenge

Hey Femme Fitales I hope everyone is ready for the March TURN UP Fitness and Nutrition Challenge.  I am very excited about this because this challenge is more than just do this exercise on a daily basis.  This challenge also incorporates nutrition which is really a major factor in the weight loss struggle.

Let me share the details of the challenge.

When:  March 1, 2016 – March 31, 2016

Who can participate:  Anyone ready to take their fitness journey to the next level

Where:  Worldwide

Cost:  FREE

Your Coaches:  Diatta Harris, Health Coach + Adrienne Gordon, Nutrition Coach

Why You Want To Join This Challenge

  • It will provide you step-by-step guidance to start your fitness journey the right way
  • You will receive a bunch of encouragement and inspiration

What You’ll Need

  • Positive attitude
  • Tape measure
  • Bodyweight scale (optional)
  • Water bottle

Day 0:  Before the Challenge Begins

  • Sign up for the challenge HERE and if you are in Fight For Fit sign up HERE.
  • Sign the pledge and refer to it throughout the challenge to remind you of the commitment you are making to yourself with this challenge

  • Take front and side photos of yourself in a tank and shorts
  • Weigh yourself
  • Measure your chest, waist, hips, wrist and forearms with the tape measure
  • Record your weight and inches on the tracker under 3/1 and this will be your starting point
  • Go grocery shopping and pick up the food for your meal plans

  • Prep your meals in advance
  • Stick to this meal plan throughout the entire challenge to keep yourself on track and to see results. There are 5 options for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks.  Alternate what you eat to get well rounded nutrition.

During The Challenge

  • Every Tuesday measure yourself
    • Take front and side photos of yourself in a tank and shorts
    • Weigh yourself
    • Measure your chest, waist, hips, wrist and forearms with the tape measure

  • Avoid eating after 7 pm
  • Avoid eating these foods because they will sabotage your progress

March Turn Up Challenge - foods to avoid

  • Don’t pile up your plate with food
  • Eat until you are satisfied not stuffed
  • Eat 6 meals a day (breakfast, lunch, dinner and 2 snacks)
  • Drink at least half your body weight in ounces daily (i.e. 100 lbs drink 50 oz of water a day)
  • Reach out to your health coach (me) if you have questions diatta@femmefitalefitclub

Join our online women fitness group

Join our private online fitness group (sorry men ladies only) to be encouraged, motivated and inspired by others participating in the challenge.  It’s an awesome group and did we mention it’s FREE?  Join HERE.  If you are already a member of Fight For Fit you do not need to join this additional group.

Additional Tips:

  • Have fun with it
  • Don’t speak negative thoughts to yourself – Rome wasn’t built in a day and you won’t lose all the weight in 31 days but you will and feel good about it
  • Be accountable to friends and/or family members
  • Encourage a family member or friend to join you – it has been proven we have a better chance of sticking to a health program when we do it with at least one other person to remain accountable
  • Don’t focus solely on the scale

    Cool article or should I say documentation? This is very inspiring and I’m sure it serves a great help to a lot of your readers. I too am a fan of documenting my fitness track. It helps me to set goals and to look back and see how I’ve grown up through time. Cool post!
