3 Tips To Keep Your Fitness Resolution #newyearsresolutions #fitnesstips #resolution #fitness

Guest post by Patricia of Divas In Transition

The New Year is an exciting time. It brings the possibility of starting over, new opportunities, new doors etc.  Each year millions of people make resolutions. Losing weight is the top resolution.

As the year goes by, it becomes harder to keep these resolutions.

Here are three tips to help you maintain your fitness resolution:

Get started

It sounds simple but taking the first step is the hardest. Why? Because before we even start, our mind will come up with excuses such as ” do it later ” or ” start tomorrow “.

Sounds familiar?

Decide today that you will begin your fitness today. Write the date down and commit to doing it that day. How about today?

Drink more water

It is easier to stay hydrated when it is hot. We obey our thirst. It is a complete different story when the weather is cooler.

We drink coffee or hot chocolate to stay warm. Our water intake suffers during that time, but the solution is simple – bring your own water bottle .

You are more likely to drink water when you bring your own bottle water.  If you don’t like the taste of water, you can make your own water infusion drink.

There are so many amazing water infusion recipes to choose from.

I love short-term challenges (ideally for one month at a time). They allow me the opportunity to try something new. If I don’t like it, I know I only have to do it for a short time (or I can bail on it…but I usually can suck it up and finish out a month-long deadline). And water! That is SOOO difficult for me unless I flavor the water 😉

Flavoring the water is the key for those who can drink or don’t like to drink straight water I find.

Hallo there Diatta, great tips you’ve shared there. My resolution this year is to get a more lean body 🙂 My best way to achieve my goals starts with setting a realistic resolution, then work towards it. Thanks for sharing this, I think I am also going to join a challenge to see how it goes.

I think just being more organized in general can help you. For instance meal planning. If you aren’t prepared, you may make the wrong choices at the grocery store. Then you won’t have the right foods in the house so you can pack a healthier lunch to bring to work or make a nutritious dinner. Great tips, Thanks for sharing!
