Hola Femme Fitales!  Today we are embarking on a major challenge for many of us – Sober October and Yoga Pose challenge!  Before candy day hits let’s ease up on the alcohol and get more flexible with our yoga practice.

For added motivation and accountability join our online >> PRIVATE Facebook Group << where we share motivation, encouragement and photos of our progress.

Here are the general rules of the Sober October challenge:

  • No wine
  • No dark or light liquor
  • No wine coolers (do they still make those?)
  • No beer
  • No mixed drinks
  • No shots
  • Measure your waist at the beginning of the challenge
  • Measure your waist at the end of the challenge
  • Use hashtag #SoberOctober

One of the motivating women in the Fight For Fit online Facebook fitness group shared the following yoga challenge and since I am just now starting the practice I thought this would be GREAT for all of us to do.

This yoga challenge is hosted by @BeachYogaGirl and @KinoYoga and sponsored by @AloYoga.  Make sure you follow them on Instagram because their poses and practice are powerful as well as motivating.  Get all the official rules to their October Yoga Challenge HERE.

Here are the general rules of the October Yoga Challenge:

  • Post your photo on Instagram for the day and use hashtag #OctoberYogaSpice
  • Do your best
  • Modify where needed
  • Follow the hashtag on Instagram and like and comment on others’ efforts to encourage them

    I did a challenge like this one it’s over two decades ago… Not online then 🙂 and I never ever went back to drinking any alcohol. And I’ve never felt better 🙂

    Probably not drinking makes it a lot easier to get into some of those positions huh?!

    Sounds like a fun challenge! Sad to say I wouldn’t make it through an entire month without a drink, smh!

    Love the idea of Sober October. I think people will be surprised by how big a difference not drinking can make. Simply cutting out alcohol can help you lose weight, feel less bloated and more energized!
