Product Review: April Fit Snack Box

April Fit Snack Box Product Review

Disclaimer: I was sent a complimentary Fit Snack Box to write an honest review. As always, all opinions, thoughts, suggestions, and recommendations are my very own. In other words, you are going to get an honest review, regardless of compensation. 🙂

This is the April Fit Snack box up for review today.  It’s amazing because I am still chomping on what’s left of the snacks from the March Fit Snack box (full review here).   Fit Snack is not only a proud sponsor of our April #RockYourCore challenge they also give back to the community.  For every box purchased they will donate a meal to Feeding America.  I think that is pretty cool and means they put their money where their mouth, or rather where our mouth is.  So without further ado, let’s dig into this box.

April Fit Snack Box

Beansfield Chips – I tried these on camera and they are very good.  I continued eating them after taping and was too full for dinner.  The black beans and long-grain white rice is extremely filling.  The pico de gallo also had a nice taste.  I dare sneak these into my children’s lunch box – they would NOT complain once they tried it.  This is a keeper.

Svelte Shake Protein Drink – I haven’t tried this drink yet but it is low in sugar, low-glycemic, vegan, certified organic and gluten free.  I can’t wait to try this though.  I think this is going in my lunchbox tomorrow so I can drink as a mid-afternoon pick-me-up.

Go Raw Cookies – These cookies were REALLY good and only 40 calories a pack.  They tasted like chocolate-covered coconut.  I just kept eating these.  The only draw back with these is that the bag was small and there wasn’t enough in the bag.  Otherwise DELICIOUS snack which is another keeper.

MuscleWerks D-Fine 8 Powder – I am saving these for another day but they come in lemon, fruit punch and raspberry flavors.  You can also get 20% off an order at http://dfine8.com with code:  FitSnack.

Fiona’s Natural Foods Trail Mix – I do not normally eat trail mix but my husband sure does.  This is a family recipe from the 60’s and is full of wholesome raw nuts, seeds and fruit.  I might bring this in to work with me for mid-afternoon snacking or nibble on these while watching Game of Thrones.

Barney Butter Almond Butter – I’ve tried Barney Butter Almond Butter in the past and I prefer the raw version by a different brand.  BUT this is definitely a nice little packet to take with you and use with sliced apples.  Sliced green apples and almond butter is DE-LIC-IOUS!!!

Rani’s Nutrafoods Rani’s Yummy – I was initially confused as to what this was but finally figured out this is a french toast flavored oat snack!!!  I really can’t wait to try this because I bet this would be good with some delicious cold almond milk!  I’ll let you know what I think once I try it but in the meantime, you can get 30% off your order at http://ranisyummy.com with code:  FitYummy.  Pretty NICE!!!

***BONUS***

Fit Fix for Females:  As an extra bonus in the box, Fit Snack included a meal plan flier by Fit Fix for Females.  It comes with a 50% off 4-week meal plan + workout guide special at http://fitfixco.com with code:  FitSnackApril.  From the looks of their site, as of this writing 4/20, the value appears to be $42.00 on sale so take off another 50% and that gets you all of this for $21.00.  NOT a bad deal at all.

This box came heavy and loaded with 7 different brand of snacks most of which I am very interested in trying or have already eaten up (the chips and raw cookies didn’t stand a chance).  I think it was another excellent value especially with the bonus discounts for 3 of the products PLUS a bonus program to help you jump start your fitness program.

Pros:

  • Boxes come with a monthly workout
  • They donate a meal to Feeding America for each box sold
  • Each box contains healthy, organic or gluten-free snacks for healthy noshing
  • Nice variety of snacks

Cons:

  • Have to pay $5 shipping and handling

Rating:

I give this box a 9 stars out of 10 stars. This box was very impressive and I enjoyed all of the snacks that I tried.  I gave it a 9 only because I didn’t see information where I could repurchase some of my favorites such as the Fit Snack Veggie Chips.  I definitely believe this box is one of the better subscription boxes out there.
