#FitnessFriday Weekly Workout Recap

In case you haven’t noticed it is a BEAR out there.  At least in Maryland.  Or should I say HAWK!  The temperatures have dropped and school openings have been delayed and well…its COOOOLD!  Due to the weather and schedule changes I have had to take my workouts indoors inside my home gym but fortunately I have essential equipment in my home gym that makes sure I still burn calories and fat.

For one, I did one day of my Sanders Optimum Fitness Online Boot Camp and I burned MAJOR calories that day.  If you are interested they are running another special which starts with their online program on March 3 – $29 dollars for 4 weeks of daily exercise routines that change up every time!  If you have Internet access you can access it any time, any device, any where.  If you are interested in signing up just click HERE to learn more.

Monday

Monday was President’s Day and I had time off of work so I slept in.  I had a fairly busy weekend.  It felt good too.

Tuesday

It was back to work on Tuesday (workouts as well as back to the office – figuratively) so I made sure I got my body moving to make up for the days I didn’t work out.  I hit the treadmill for 3 miles in 35 minutes and then did 20 minutes of SOF Tone Zone.  I’d say this was a success because not only did I burn mega calories (573), it helped me feel really good the rest of the day.

Wednesday

Wednesday I revisited Jillian Michaels and her 30-Day Shred DVD.  I did Level 2 which did not disappoint.  As you can probably tell I only warmed up on the treadmill for 10 or so minutes and then jumped right into my 20 minute workout.  Burning 360 in 30 minutes isn’t bad if I do say so myself.  Get it in ladies…you can do it!  Summer bodies are made in the Winter.

Thursday

Sometimes your body just needs active recovery and that is what I did on Thursday – incline walk for about 40 minutes.  It’s amazing how many more calories you can burn when you just crank up that incline.  This incline went as high as 12 with a max of 3.4 mph.  May  not sound like much but trust me – I burned some calories with this low impact workout.

Another cool thing, I received my box of Love Grace Juices today!!!!!  Yes yes yes you read that right.  I am home and not travelling so I am doing a juice cleanse over the weekend.  I’m extremely excited and all of these juices look delicious.  Can’t wait to try them and share the results with you.

Friday

Today I did a 20-minute treadmill workout on NordickTrack – Calorie setting, Level 2 which maxed out at 4 incline and 6 mph.  It was tough and the next interval almost had me flying off the back but I kept it together.  Then I did Jillian Michaels’ 30-Day Shred DVD Level 3.  It was really really good.  As long as I have had this DVD that is the first time I ever did Level 3.  Extremely challenging and I was sweating!
