It’s been a minute since I published one of these regular monthly fitness challenges but no time like the present. This month we have a nice challenge in store for you. Before I get to them though, can you believe we are already in August??? This year is flying by and before you know it we will be showing off our brawn and muscles from these challenges in December, in time for holiday little black dress season – HELLO! This month there are 2 primary challenges – exercise and running. Except for the running challenge, the exercise challenge should not take more than 60 to 90 seconds out of your day.

Challenge 1: Fitness Flash Challenge
This is a HOT challenge because you are really trying to beat yourself. You are working to do as many reps as possible in 60 seconds (with proper form) of each exercise. Make sure you are hydrated and use proper form (I can’t stress that enough). If need be, modify the move. Now let’s make it real fun, record yourself (use your phone, camcorder, etc.) yourself and share it in our private Facebook Group or Google+ Community found here:
OR post yourself before, during or after your flash fitness exercise with your rep count on Instagram with hashtag #fffcaug and tag @FemmeFitaleFitClub so we can check you out and root you on. Your goal for this challenge is to complete more reps the second 10 days of this challenge than you did the first 10 days.

*Please note, several of us are still doing the DietBet challenge until August 10th but this is a nice additional challenge to help everyone smash their 4% weight-loss goals.
Challenge 2: Go The Distance – 100 miles Walk/Run Challenge
Here’s our second fun challenge this month. I know many Femme Fitales LOVE running so here is your challenge, run 100 miles in the month of August.
If you can’t run, no worries, walk it. Just get moving and go the distance!
Use whatever tracking app you like (i.e. Nike+, Strava, Wahoo Fitness, MapMyRun, etc.) and post the screen shot after each of your walk/run activity in our private Facebook Group or Google+ Community:
Also invite your family, friends, acquaintances, and co-workers in on this challenge. Who wants to run or walk alone? 🙂
We are very excited about the August challenges and hope you participate. The more the merrier and it really helps when we have folks cheering and encouraging each other to meet or exceed these goals.
