I’m recording Day 12 of the Twelve Days of Fitness challenge by Fit Armadillo. This challenge encourages fitness bloggers to blog every day for the next 12 days about our workouts.
Today is the 12th and final day of 12 Days of Fitness. Boy has the time flown by. Today I can describe my workout in a single word – DOMS! Yes – delayed onset muscle soreness! I feel it in my chest, arms and thighs. I felt strong yesterday in boot camp but boy am I feeling it NOW! Today is a rest day because tomorrow, we start our first boot camp session in the new year. I am excited about seeing old friends and my boot camp sisters. I am not really looking forward to all of those sprints and sprints and more sprints. But hey – they work and help reduce stomach fat so I am in!
I also failed to mention during this 12 Days of Fitness challenge that I am also focused on building my spiritual fitness! I have been saved for many many years but haven’t really grown in Christ as much as I would have liked. I am taking time to rebuild my relationship with God by giving Him my attention first thing in the morning by reading and soaking up His word. I am currently reading a daily devotional called “How to Maximize Your Life”. I am currently on day 11 which includes scripture Ecclesiastes 4:9-12. Please join me as I will begin to blog about my spiritual fitness and how I am growing and building up that strength. I also joined Najiyyah Brooks Ministries’ online bible program which has us reading the bible from cover to cover in a single year.
Fitness is multi-fold and isn’t just what you do to build your body, your spiritual self needs to be fed as well to be a well-rounded and strong human being. I totally enjoyed this challenge and reading everyone else’s daily workout. I look forward to doing something like this again REAL soon!
