RO: My name Rashidat Owe. I am a Fitness professional and private gym owner in Florida.
FFFC: What sparked your weight-loss transformation journey?
RO: I am a pretty random chick so, All it took was me getting a trainer that just so happen to be a body builder and it on and poppin!
FFFC: What was your beginning and current weight or measurements?
RO: I was a little over 250 now 189lbs
FFFC: How long did it take for your weight-loss transformation from beginning to end?
RO: It took me 9 months to train for my first figure competition to lose a little over 60lbs.
FFFC: What physical activities did you participate in during your journey?
RO: Spinning, 5k runs and Competing
FFFC: How did your eating habits change?
RO: I stopped eating processed foods and started eating clean.
FFFC: What is your favorite fitness activity?
RO: Now. Biking
FFFC: What do you do now to maintain your physique?
RO: Teach HIIT classes and bike
FFFC: How did you develop and sustain the willpower to avoid the bad stuff (i.e. junk food, bad drinks, lack of activity, etc.)?
RO: It is still hard as hell for me. I fail, however, I don’t keep dwelling on it. I just keep it moving. My good days out weigh my bad days.
FFFC: What advice do you have for someone starting out on their weight-loss journey but unsure of how to begin?
RO: Start by changing the eating habits first! Adapt a clean eating regime and drink LOTS of water. With exercising, it really helped me to have a partner to go with me. Also, read! Read fitness articles, Google, Youtube etc. indulge your life with your new lifestyle!
FFFC: What do you think is the biggest misconception about this journey?
RO: The biggest is that I am human. I still have bad days and I have good days. In my before pic. I had no clue I would be where I am today. It was not planned, It just happened.
